- Anytime a garage door opener is on screen: one drink.
- Every rock star cameo: one drink. (Cliff doesn’t count.)
- Toast every dearly departed: Layne Staley, Mother Love Bone, Jimi Hendrix, Soundgarden…
- Any reference to Mudhoney: one drink. First to identify the reference to Mudhoney is exempt.
- Someone talks to the camera or has a voice-over soliloquy: two drinks.
- Any reference to Janet’s breasts: one drink.
- Any reference to Cliff’s jobs: one drink. (Actually seeing Cliff working: two drinks)
- Any sighting of ripped clothing: one drink. (If it’s ripped flannel: two drinks)
- First to yell “SUCKS!” during a Paul Westerberg song can make someone else drink.
Optional Rules:
- Any time someone buys or receives flowers from a significant other: one drink.
- Any time Linda breaks a dish: two drinks.
- Any time Steve refers to work: one drink.
- Any sighting of a person wearing leggings or tights with shorts: two drinks.
- Anyone who can identify a song (artist and title) in the movie that is not on the soundtrack can make someone else drink
